Chick-fil-a stance on gay marriage

Chick-fil-a is know for donating to anti gay organizations, Alderman Joe Moreno has announced that he will stop making donations to the anti-gay organization and made a bill to protect the workers of chick-fil-a from discrimination. The day after this happen the president of the company, Dan Cathy said that he is still going to donate to the anti-gay. Moreno said that it contradicts the contract that has been signed. he said "We were told that these organizations included groups that politically work against the rights of gay and lesbian people"
I believe that Moreno has the right to be angry because if the contract did say what he believe it said then Dan Cathy must be breaking the law. I personally disagree with Dan Cathy's views but is making me dislike him even more hearing that he doesn't even fallow the contracts he makes.

Cheating Scandal at Harvard

There are some athletes at Harvard University who have been cheating on test even though the majority doesn't.  the Harvard basketball team had multiple accounts of academic cheating. The outcome is unknown on the investigation. I think its unfair that the school requires 40+ hours for their sport and they have no time for the class work and the students should not be judged but given a chance to actually have an education.

California Company president pleads guilty

On Monday Sept. 10, 2012 the president of a Californian company pleads guilty to the distributional of  human growth hormones. David Ji, the 50 year old president of the company from Irvine is facing federal charges for distributing prescription drugs in interstate commerce without a license. He pleaded guilty to one felony and two misdemeanor charges. sentencing will be on December 10th he faces up to ten years and a 250,000 $ fine. Ji sold 24 grams to a pharmacy in Brooklyn, New York. "his lawyer, Marc Harris, said prosecutors have agreed to recommend probation for five years, a $103,000 fine and a $147,000 forfeiture in exchange for Ji's plea."  I feel that he should get a longer sentence and a higher fined because Selling Growth hormones shouldn't be illegal sold and he should get at least 10 years.

Micheal Jackson Copyright dispute

Micheal Jackson died June 25 of 2009, but shortly after there came disputes about copyright. Micheal Jacksons mother, Katherine Jackson's business partner and and Micheals estate. The estate sued because of "wholesale misappropriation" because of "arrogant disregards". The book sold 25000 copies which was 1.5 million in the first two days. The lawyer of  Howard mann the man who published Never can say goodbye The Katherine Jackson story argues "actual sales are very minimal and the defendant's businesses have suffered a major net loss.". The said copyright was an image from Micheal Jacksons "This is it" tour and the smooth Criminal lean that Micheal does. Katherine Jackson mediate the agreement of giving 2.5 million dollars to the estate from the several companies involved. I believe this is a fair deal because they did copyright the images and do deserve to get sued for doing so and the agreement for 2.5 million is a fair amount for the copyright that happened.
