Gun laws, Marines differenting stances on the case

Boston and DiOrio have very different stance on gun laws. The first question was what their thoughts were on their founding fathers when they wrote we have the right to bear arms, which is the second admendment. Boston said that people should always be allowed to own a gun just incase if we need to protect ourselfs. DiOrio said that the principle of why we have guns today is different then the founding fathers would know and that its solely for the purpose of the militia. I believe they make valid points but i am in favor of being able to keep a gun. The second question asked was what if a new bill passed to banned assault weapons. Boston said that it is not okay to take away guns because actions of a few people. DiOrio said that it would harm gun owners and supports the idea. I agree with DiOrio assault guns should not be allowed because they basically only have one use, to kill lots of people. http://www.hollandbarstool.com/documents/image/Logos/Military/Marines-in-use.jpg

dont ask, dont tell.

Don't ask don't tell is an American policy in the military branch, it basically means you are not allowed to be openly gay in the military. 181 troops got honorably discharged because they were gay. The men that got discharge are most likely gonna sue for this because it is unfair. I think that people shouldn't be able to be discharged for being gay. The payment will be 14,000 per soldier for being discharged not rightfully. i think its good they got paid and they deserved to be compensated.

Lemon laws

Lemon law is a law obligating manufacturers or sellers to repair, replace, or refund the price of motor vehicles that prove to be defective. (1. Thefreedictionary.com). A new car typically qualifies as a "lemon" when it has a defect that substantially affects its use, safety, or value (2 expert law.com) The law for lemons changes from state to state. In our state Pennsylvania it cannot be waivered, meaning that the company that is selling a lemon vehicle cannot put responsibility on a customer for their faulty car.
The positive sides of the lemons law is it extremely helpful to anyone that purchases a car that is not up to regulation. The claims are not towards the people that sell you the cars but towards people who manufacture the cars, this is good because it is targeting the people most in charge of the safety of the driver. It targets the big company that should be the ones testing and making sure the car meets safety regulations and if they don’t they should have to pay the costumer who bought the car. One more positive side is that when you buy a car from somebody you can ask a lot of questions and figure out what is wrong with the car how many accident it’s been in and also how new it is. Another positive side is that there are a lot of sites and people to help with your lemon car, like 1800 my lemon (3. Mylemon.com).These people working at these kind of places will help you get money for whatever is wrong with you car.
The negative side of lemon law is that the violation to the lemon laws must happen before the warranty is up. This may be unfair because the warranty may be a very low number and be completely unreasonable without you knowing. A lot of people are not really certain about the lemon laws for their state. They might be tricked into buying a lemon car and having to pay for the damages without the owner/seller of the car to take responsibility for their sketchy selling ways. Lemon laws also vary from state to state meaning something’s may be legal in one state and completely illegal in the state you live in which will cause major problems One other problem is if you don’t get a mechanic to check out the internal part of the car you might not be told what’s wrong with what’s inside the car. (4. statelemonlaw.org)
My personal opinion is that lemon laws are a good thing because they have rules so that you don’t get ripped-off. I think that you should know about state lemon laws before buying a car or else you will get in some trouble, but I think there is help for people that are ignorant before they buy a car so that they will get compensated for what they deserve. Personally I think lemon laws should be a federal law not a state to state law because it seems a little bit unfair.

FBI get strict on guns

2.8 background checks on people wanting to buy guns during the month of December. Which made it a record month. The data about the checks are on public display, but the FBI refuses to comment on the fact that the numbers have been higher. I believe its related to the shootings in Newtown and the aura shooting. I think that its a good idea to keep a check on people who buy guns to make sure they are mentally stable to make sure there are no incidents where multiple people can get murdered. I think it is especially important around holiday time because that is when most people will get a gun. The place which should get check are the gun shows because that's how someone unstable can get a gun, i personally don't mind when one hunter sell his gun to another hunter because they most likely are gonna use it for solely hunting purpose.
